The ICRC has been working in the Philippines for more than 50 years. It carries out a range of activities to meet the needs of displaced and other vulnerable people, promote respect for international humanitarian law, and respond to emergencies, often in cooperation with its local partner, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC).
The ICRC Delegation in Philippines is hiring for a:
LOGISTICS OFFICER
(Based in Tacloban City)
With leadership of the Head of Office, the LOGISTICS OFFICER analyzes and coordinates all logistical functions of the ICRC based in Tacloban City. S/he assists in all logistical activities including, procurement, delivery and final disposal of resources, supply chain and fleet management.
Main tasks:
- Develops and executes standard operating methods to efficiently manage the logistics operations in ICRC Tacloban (Visayas region)
- Guides and oversees performance of the logistics team (currently with 4 drivers)
- Coordinates logistics activities including fleet management, supply chain, purchasing, warehousing and transport services
- Ensures maintenance of generator sets in the premises
- Manages the fleet which include supervision of drivers, car dispatch, and vehicle periodic maintenance
- Coordinates supply chain management through collaborative planning with customers, receiving and treatment of orders, follow-up customer services/filing and reporting
- Coordinates procurement activities by sourcing, bidding, invoicing, filing and reporting
- Ensures all supervised staff members are trained as well as cross-trained adequately
Minimum required profile:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics & supply chain management, business administration, accountancy or equivalent
- Minimum 3-year work related experience in purchasing, warehousing, supply chain and fleet management
- Proven capacity to lead and manage a team
- Good computer skills
- Good command of written and spoken English
