Individual Development (iDevelop) Administrators (Based in MSSC)
Job Purpose
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is a learning organization and it believes that the quality of its performance depends to a considerable extent on its staff members. The creation of the Individual Development (iDevelop) Program aims to provide learning opportunities for a broad range of staff members and to encourage them to take responsibility for their career, professional development and employability.
The Individual Development Program (iDevelop) Team is responsible for the implementation of the iDevelop budget system in accordance to set guidelines & framework. The iDevelop Administrator ensures the smooth and effective functioning of the iDevelop Program by providing support to ICRC’s global workforce. He/She reports directly to the iDevelop Team Leader in Manila with the overall leadership of the iDevelop Head of Sector in Geneva.
Main Responsibilities:
- Reviews, prioritizes and validates staff members’ request for iDevelop related activities
- Identifies the relevance of any specific iDevelop activity requested by staff members
- Ensures compliance of the iDevelop Program rules and guidelines
- Maintains the iDevelop database
- Provides feedback to staff members in a timely fashion
- Escalates complex and special cases to the iDevelop Team Leader
- Monitors iDevelop budget in coordination with Finance unit
- Validates billing statement and expenses with collaboration to designated Finance team
- Tracks iDevelop days allocated for a particular training
- Generates various reports and statistics on a regular basis
- Amends any erroneous report entries in collaboration with Finance unit
- Verifies the credibility of training institutions and universities
- Participates in evaluating the program’s effectiveness
- Participates in bi-weekly team meeting via Skype with the Head of Sector in Geneva for team planning, review and shaping of the iDevelop Program policy and guideline
Selection Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, education, business management or equivalent
- At least 2 years work experience in a related field, preferably in career and professional development
- Strong understanding of HR domains related to professional development, talent management, career counseling, HR chain of value, adult training and employability
- Adequate knowledge of learning and development systems
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods and techniques
- Very good command of written and spoken English
- Knowledge of French and/or Spanish is a strong asset Very good computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, SharePoint and Lotus Notes)
