PURPOSE OF THE POST
The purpose of this role is to deliver people management services in the Delegation that enable line managers to attract, retain, motivate and develop the sustainable resources to adequately respond to the operational challenges and the delegation’s strategy. This role implies close coaching and support to all line managers. It implies as well the development of internal guidelines, tools, processes and the management of specific HR projects
POSITION WITHIN THE HIERARCHY
This function reports to:
Finance and Administration Manager.
Functional line to the Regional HR Manager and the Centers of Expertise in Geneva Headquarters.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Main activities
Participates in the definition of the HR strategy and implement the HR plan of actions for the Delegation.
Develops and implements a talent management strategy in compliance with institutional guidelines and adapted to the operational objectives in the context.
Develops and executes innovative talent acquisitions tools and internal processes to source various pools of resident candidates.
Develops and executes innovative tools to ensure an adequate management of performance, succession and career development of our workforce.
Coaches, advises and supports line managers in their people management activities.
Leads the current HR transformation process and manages the local implementation of people management projects deployed in ICRC Delegations worldwide (new job grading and new performance management tools)
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Requirements
Possess a Bachelor’s degree specialised or equivalent in Human Resource Management
Have an excellent command of English and local languages (oral and written).
Have good networking, representation and communication skills.
Be a self-learner, autonomous and be able to take initiative.
Be willing and able to travel occasionally.
Fully conversant with IT tools (Microsoft Office, Windows, databases…) and comfortable with social media.
Have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Assets
Have professional experience in talent management and talent acquisition.
Have experience working in a charity organisation, potentially abroad in a multicultural environment.
Have an experience in an advisory role, a coaching role and/or in project management.
Have a network in relevant professional network in HR or recruitment sector.
Aged between 35 and 50 years old
Command in one of the following languages: French, Spanish, Russian or Arabic.
