The Manila Shared Services Center (MSSC), based in Makati since 1992, provides a range of services mainly in the field of Finance & Accounting, Logistics, Reporting and Human Resources, to ICRC Headquarters in Geneva and delegations around the world.

Supply Chain Risk and Compliance Specialist (Based in MSSC)

Job Purpose

The Supply Chain Risk and Compliance Specialist is an important role in driving supply chain risk management and good practice within the Supply Chain (mainly Procurement, Planning and Logistics) community. The role is part of the new Supply Chain Compliance Unit and works closely with the Procurement, planning and Logistics teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the analysis of the Supply Chain processes and conduct a risk assessment of the main processes
  • Work with the process owners to define mitigation measures
  • Identify missing guidelines and coordinate the establishment of Standard Operating Procedures
  • Practices knowledge sharing on best practices in the field of work
  • Understand potential impact of risk management and mitigation measures on the supply chain operations
  • Key contact for the Supply Chain teams to provide expertise and best practice on risk management
  • Building relationships with the Supply Chain teams across the organization globally to ensure understanding of the key challenges and identify solutions to meet these needs
  • Embed a control framework across Global Supply Chain to verify that the requirements of the Supply Chain Risk Standard are adhered to
  • An advocate for good risk management across the Supply Chain, delivering training and support where required
  • Work with Supply Chain Compliance Manager to participate in the definition of the supply chain risk strategy
  • Participate in the development of compliance dashboards through Business Intelligence tools
  • Conducts Networking in the external market to understand how leading peer organizations approach supply chain risk and how best practice could be implemented across the ICRC

Selection Requirements :

  • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering focused on process analysis and quality management and working on an ERP application (JDE, SAP)
  • At least 6 years of experience working in a position related to risk management, compliance or supply chain project management
  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical or food industry is a plus, particularly in business improvement and change management based on process improvement tools such as Six Sigma, Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR), APICS or similar methodology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of French or other foreign languages is an advantage

  • Proven analytical skills including ability to gather, interpret complex data, summarize and communicate simply and effectively

  • A pragmatist – be able to strike the balance between operational constraints and the effective delivery of the department
  • Excellent influencing, communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to present ideas/concepts and take a consultative approach with stakeholders and peers
  • Able to build productive network with other organizations to share knowledge and good practices
