Main responsibilities:
Supports the expatriate in charge in the implementation of the psychosocial program for the families of missing
Supports the expatriate in providing training to accompaniers with the aim of learning to become a trainer of the accompaniment program Collects and compiles information according to a given procedure
Maintains strong working relationships and communication with partner NGOs and provide necessary technical support
Assists the delegate in analysing project reports and prepare project summaries as required
Executes field tasks mainly independently
Contributes in the implementation and follow-up of a project (within the department)
Makes written reporting on the progress of activities and contribute to budget preparation
Translates documents from English and local language/s and vice versa
Implements and follows-up a project (within the department) independently
Contributes to design on new projects
Required qualification and experience:
Master’s Degree in Psychology
2 years work experience, ideally in psychosocial programs
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Tamil. Knowledge in Sinhala is an added advantange.
Outstanding communication skills and proven reporting skills,
Mastering of regular office computer packages
Autonomy, good rigor, method and analytical skills
Excellent team-player, self-starter and capacity to work towards multiples objectives and prioritize
Good knowledge of the political, social and cultural assigned environment
Interest in reading and acquiring new knowledge
