VEHICLE FLEET MANAGER
Logistics Department
Based in Makati City
The VEHICLE FLEET MANAGER (VFM) is responsible for selecting the right vehicles and maintaining them in good operating condition in order that the ICRC meets its distribution objectives efficiently and cost-effectively. The successful candidate will manage the road transport movements in ICRC Philippines Delegation. The VFM reports directly to the Logistics Coordinator in Manila and is technically supervised by the LOG_FLEET Unit in Geneva, Switzerland.
Main tasks:
- In charge of fleet management in the ICRC Philippines with around 50 units of light vehicles & 30 generator sets
- Supervises, manages and trains the Fleet team members of ICRC Philippines which include but not limited to vehicle movement, maintenance and drivers planning
- Supervises and supports the maintenance of generators
- Supervises the maintenance and planning of vehicles and guides the users' good usage and vehicle knowledge
- Ensures that ICRC standard fleet management and safety procedures are known and followed by the staff members
- Negotiates with insurance companies and suppliers
- Carries out support missions in ICRC field offices, minimum 50% of the activity rate, in the Philippines
Minimum required profile:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 6-year operational experience in logistics and fleet management
- Considerable operational work experience abroad is an advantage
- Good team management skills
- Good communication skills
- Good analytical and reporting skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Operational experience in the use of fleet management software to track and monitor various aspect of fleet and driver operations
- Availability to travel regularly within the Philippines
