The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is a neutral, impartial and independent humanitarian organization that works to protect and assist people affected by armed conflict and violence.

The Manila Shared Services Center (MSSC), based in Makati since 1992, provides a range of services mainly in the field of Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Reporting & Human Resources, to ICRC Headquarters in Geneva and delegations around the world.

Accounts Payable (AP) Analyst, CPA

(Based in MSSC)

Main Responsibilities:

The AP Analyst works with a team under the General Accounting Unit reporting to the HQ based in Geneva, Switzerland, that primarily:

  • Facilitates the payment of invoices, handling the validation of an average of 3,500 invoices monthly for the whole organization
  • Performs various controls and accounting related procedures, such as month end entries, corrections, and data upload
  • Helps in the planning, execution and promotion of fraud-prevention activities in AP

Required Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • At least 4 years working experience as a General Accountant, preferably in Accounts Payable and/or as an Internal/External Auditor
  • Knowledge in Web-based Software Accounting applications (experience with JD Edwards or PeopleSoft is an advantage)
  • Experience in processing invoices through an automated invoice payment system
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, knowledge of French is an asset
  • Proficiency in French is an asset (C1 and C2 levels of proficiency are given a language premium)
  • Excellent computer literacy (Excel, Word)
  • Great attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Vigilant and has the ability to recognize risk of fraud
