Philippines: Library Consultant (for Philippine nationals only)

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is a Geneva-based humanitarian organization that protects and assists victims of armed conflicts and other situations of violence without discrimination. It has been providing humanitarian aid in the Philippines for more than 70 years,
with a permanent presence since 1982. The ICRC works closely with the Philippine Red Cross,
its primary partner in the country.

The ICRC delegation in the Philippines is looking for:

Library consultant

(Based in Makati City)

The consultant will assist the delegation in taking stock of the contents of its library and in making sure that its library has up-to-date and relevant titles. He/she reports directly to the Communication-Production officer.

MAIN TASKS

· Prepare an inventory of existing publications

· Organize titles according to identified themes

· Draft a proposal for the books’ retention or disposal

REQUIRED PROFILE

· University degree, preferably in library science. Fresh graduates or senior/ graduating students of this course are welcome to apply

· Good command of English

· Capacity to work independently

Closing date of application: 13.01.2017

Contract starts: As soon as possible

Contract duration: 1 week
