LEGAL INTERNS
Two interns for a 2-month period
based in Makati City
Are you looking for an internship in the legal field with the opportunity to gain work experience and learn in an international environment? If so, you are perfect for joining as an intern. You would be part of a dynamic team that seeks to ensure respect for the rights of victims of war and other violence by reminding authorities and others of their legal obligations under international humanitarian law and international human rights law. For our Integration and Promotion of the Law Department, we are looking for two legal interns that can support with the following activities:
· Independent legal background research for and contributing to the Customary International Humanitarian Law Study
· Write reports on issues relating to humanitarian law, human rights law, international law, domestic legislation and other relevant legal matters
· Provide academic, administrative and logistical support to related integration and promotion of the law activities
Required profile:
· Law students who have completed at least three years in law school
· Studied and has strong interest in International Humanitarian Law or Public International Law
· Excellent legal research and writing skills
· Excellent English communication skills
· Ability to complete tasks in a multi-cultural environment
· Available for the months of June and July 2016
Closing date of application: 31 May 2016
Internship start: June 2016
Contract duration: 2-month internship
